Organic Optoelectronics

Organic optoelectronics focuses on the application of organic materials in optoelectronic devices, which has attracted much attention for its important application value and broad future application prospect in the fields of semiconductor materials, optoelectronic devices, flexible electronics, and biomedicine. This special session focuses on organic optoelectronics technology, materials, devices and applications, and welcomes exchanges on the current research progress of organic optoelectronics materials and technology, as well as the current application situation and bottlenecks of optoelectronics devices in industrial practice. It aims to explore the possible solutions for industrial practice and future trends for research, and further to promote the development of the intersection between the various disciplines and fusion of the scientific research results into practice.

Session Chair

Guohua Xie
Professor, Institute of Flexible Electronics (IFE, Future Technologies), Xiamen University, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Alexander von Humboldt Fellow.

He received a Ph.D. degree in Microelectronics and Solid-State Electronics from Jilin University, China, in 2011. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Applied Photophysics, Technische Universität Dresden, Germany, between 2011 and 2012; a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Physics and Astronomy, University of St Andrews, UK, from 2013 to 2015; Associate Professor at the School of Chemistry and Molecular Science, Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, from 2015 to 2022; Professor at Xiamen University, Xiamen, China since 2023. He has published nearly 260 research papers in peer-reviewed journals.

Areas of Expertise: Novel light-emitting materials and devices: organic light-emitting devices, quantum dot light-emitting devices, perovskite light-emitting devices.
